Blossoming Under Pressure
Lisa Carroll | 2026
Mixed media on canvas
18 × 24 inches (horizontal)
Lisa’s Ladies series
A vivid green woman reclines beneath orange clouds, their raindrops falling across her body. Layers of turquoise, purple, and pink surround her, while a single white daisy rises nearby.
Part of my ongoing Lisa’s Ladies series, Blossoming Under Pressure explores the possibility of growing through uncomfortable seasons. With exaggerated shapes and a touch of humor, this painting makes room for vulnerability, resilience, and the small blooms that appear while the rain is still falling.
