And Still, We Dance!
Lisa Carroll | 2026
Mixed media on canvas
18 × 24 inches
Lisa’s Ladies series
Two large pink profiles face one another across a turquoise sky filled with white clouds. Below, women dance among rolling green hills and flowering trees, while another climbs a ladder toward a cloud.
This painting explores the power we give to other people’s opinions, even when their judgment exists only in our imagination. It invites us to let those voices fade, release the weight of what others might think, and find freedom in being ourselves.
An original handwritten reflection on the back ends with: “We are here. We are free. And still, we dance.”
